Product design

The Pearson VD series uses a divider arrangement to connect a high voltage signal to a measurement path. Distinguish air and oil applications during selection and consider probe placement, connections and receiving equipment together.

Measurement and application

High voltage measurement requires the probe, cable and receiving instrument to be considered together. The waveform, test medium, measurement location and grounding arrangement all influence the setup.

Selection and connections

Specify whether the task concerns DC, AC or pulses, and describe the test environment and instrument input. Follow the selected model instructions for installation, grounding and operation. Suitability under one set of conditions does not establish suitability under another.
